Casey Afleck's accent in the movie was just crap. I could not understand what he was saying for most of the time, I could blame part of that to be how the voice volume quality from the movie I was watching was a bit poor.. but I'm pointing the finger at Casey.
Casey's character, Lou Ford, also beats the shit out of Joyce Lakeland (Jessica Alba's character). The violence depicted in this movie was too much for me to bear; mainly because of the fact that the main character, who is male, is brutally beating the crap out of a female. It felt wrong watching further - I did keep going however, only to see what would happen to Lou.
