Indiana Jones and the Aliens...

For Harrison Ford's age - he did good in this film, although the fight scenes appeared to look like it was in slow motion.

Saw this film a while back - maybe a month from today. I am not much of an Indiana Jones fan as I don't recall the first 2 movies, but The Last Crusade was a movie that I was obsessed with as a child.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls however did not give me the same excited feeling of adventrure as the latter. It was watchable.

What I enjoyed in Indiana Jones movies was Indiana's ability to solve puzzles within historical landmarks, you can say that you learn as you watch in these movies - most of the time.

However for me, the script wasn't as original as the latter and was half as exiciting to watch. The idea of linking Indiana Jones to Aliens didn't work for me, especially the last scenes of the movie which I will not describe -really kind of killed the Indiana Jones experience.

The introduction of Indiana Jones' son; Mutt Williams, who is played by the douche from Transformers; Shia LaBeouf was crap. I am not a fan of Lebeouf's "panic" acting - and did not give this movie any favours, might as well named his character Moot than Mutt.

Kate Blanchett, who played Irina Spalko was believable; she pulled off the Ukrainian accent at least. However to me, she did not play a very effective villain - they needed someone more mean looking; more beasty / tanky type of appearance - Rosie Odonnell comes to mind. If it weren't for Irina's sword or accent - she wouldn't be as intimidating as the movie made her out to be.

Another flaw in this film is the lack of hot chicks - there was none to be exact - in the Last Crusade, Elsa was bloody hot with her hot accent - there was no-one in this movie - no one.

Overall the movie was long, somewhat ridiculous and really not necessary as the trilogy would have been better the way it is, no additions needed thank you very much.

p.s. I will not put a screenshot of the movie in as there were no chicks. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg must be gay...

..with each other.
